Template Policy

Intellectual Property

Our Site, products and services contain intellectual property owned by us and/or by third parties that license the content to us (“Third-Party Licensed Intellectual Property”). This includes, without limitation, trademarks, copyrights, proprietary information, designs, patents, and other intellectual property rights, as well as business names, logos, images, designs, text, videos, audio files, graphics, other files, and software (“Content”). Your access to and use of our Site, products (including digital products), services, and Content does not grant or transfer any rights, title, or interest to you in relation to any of the above.

Template Installation

Templates will be installed on a new Squarespace 7.1 site and then transferred to your Squarespace account within 48 hours. The template will be built as a Squarespace demo website with the placeholder content and images provided. You are responsible for replacing all the demo content and editing the site. If you make any accidental changes, we are not able to reverse the changes or revert the site to the template as it was provided to you.

Template Installation Does Not Include:

• Template customisations

• The domain (you will need to purchase your own domain and connect the domain to the website prior to launching)

• Revisions or changes to the template by Soda Creek Digital after the template is provided to you

• Adding of content

• Adding of images

• Search engine optimisation

• Third-party integrations (e.g. social media connections, scheduling integration, payment setup, email marketing, etc.)

• Ongoing website maintenance

• The Squarespace 7.1 subscription (you need to purchase the subscription prior to launching the site). To receive the 20% discount, wait until after your template has been delivered to purchase the plan.

We aim to install each template within 48 hours, due to unforeseen circumstances there may be unique instances when this process takes longer.

Reinstallation

If you need the template installed again for any reason (e.g. you made accidental changes or the trial period expired before you subscribed to a Squarespace plan), you will need to repurchase the template. We are unable to reverse any accidental changes or reinstate an expired template, you will need to purchase a new template.

Template Invitation Delivery

You will receive an email invitation link within 48 hours of purchasing your template. If you have not received an email invitation within this time frame, contact us and we will look into the issue. Failure to accept the invitation or request a new one within 30 days of your Squarespace template purchase will result in the template being considered delivered and no refunds or further invitations will be provided.

Refunds

Due to the digital nature of our Squarespace templates, they cannot be refunded, returned, or exchanged. No refunds will be given once an order has been received and processed. Please ensure that you have viewed the template demo, features, requirements, and all accompanying information prior to making a purchase. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before you make any purchases.

Email Support

If you have any Squarespace template-related questions after purchase, don’t hesitate to contact us. Each Squarespace template purchase includes 30 days of email support, provided from the date of purchase. Use our contact form, indicating that you require template support and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Respectful communication is important to us. We reserve the right to suspend support without notice for any disrespectful behaviour, unreasonable demands, or misuse of our system.

Our 30 Day Email Support Includes:

• Questions about our Squarespace template features and settings

• Support with changing the content and images

• Support with changing the style settings (fonts and colors)

Our 30 Day Email Support Does Not Include:

• General Squarespace functionality advice and guidance. Squarespace provides excellent resources for the use of their platform, which can be found here.

• Custom code and modifications to the Squarespace template as outlined in our template demo, features and inclusions/exclusions

• Third-party integrations

• Domain connection

• Building new pages, adding sections, blocks and additional designs

• Design strategy or advice

• Installation on an existing website

Squarespace Template Copyright and Licensing

Each purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, single license to use our Squarespace template (if you’d like to build more websites with this Squarespace template, you’ll need to purchase a license for each one).

Prohibited Use

You may not share, resell or duplicate our Squarespace template in whole or in part.

You may not use, adapt, or represent our Squarespace templates or designs as if they were created by you.

You may not create any derivative work or offer competing offerings based on information contained in your purchase.

You understand that engaging in unauthorised use of our offerings is considered theft, and we reserve the right to prosecute it as a civil and/or criminal offense.

Demo Images

Images used in our Squarespace templates are sourced from Unsplash. Any imagery provided with the template is for demonstration purposes only and is copyrighted to its original creator. It is your responsibility to replace these images with your own images. We hold no liability for any image licensing / copyright issues that may occur through your unlawful use of the supplied images.

20% Discount and 6-month Trial

When you purchase a Squarespace template from Soda Creek Digital, you will automatically receive a 6-month Squarespace trial. As Squarespace Circle members we are able to provide a 20% discount on your first year’s Squarespace's subscription (when you purchase an annual plan). If you remove us from your website permissions before upgrading your template to a paid Squarespace subscription, you will not receive the discount.

It is your responsibility to upgrade to a paid Squarespace subscription (Business Plan minimum) before the trial runs out. If you do not subscribe to a paid plan before the trial expires, Squarespace will mark your website for permanent deletion and you will be required to repurchase the template if you want it reinstalled.

The discount or 6-month trial Squarespace, and we cannot be held liable or responsible for any modifications or unavailability.

Template Access

We reserve the right to discontinue our Squarespace template offerings at any time.

We are not required to reinstall the template if a newer version or design is released.

As the account holder, you are solely responsible for covering all expenses associated with your Squarespace account. This includes any services provided by Squarespace.

Squarespace Changes

We cannot be held liable or responsible for any updates to Squarespace as this platform is their responsibility and we have no control over its design, versions, features or functionality . We cannot guarantee that our templates will be compatible with future updates or versions of Squarespace or any other third-party services. Any issues resulting from the above may incur additional charges for our services to resolve.
